If you wish prizes to be made available for any of the games there will be an additional charge of $20.
Each of the children get a foam sword & shield and get to go toe-to-toe with one of our Knights. Not to worry our Knights don’t really fight back.
Using a watermelon we show the children just what a sword and other weapons can really do...and then they get to eat the watermelon! Needs to be done outside!
Create your own Coat of Arms. With is activity the children will learn about all kinds of animals, symbols and colours used to create the coats of arms of the middle ages. Then using a wooden shield they will then make their own.
We will teach the children to make their own piece of armour. We will provide the pliers and the links for this fun activity and they get to keep what they make.
There are three choices in this game Spears, Axes or Arrows. All are made of foam and plastic and are quite safe. The children will get the chance to try their skills by throwing axes and spears at the targets. A light bow is used to launch the arrows. It is recommended that these activities be done outside or in a very large and relatively empty room.
Each child armed with a lance will have a chance to hit the Quintain and count the number of turns. This is one of the many training tools used by medieval squires and knights. It is recommended that these activities be done outside or in a very large and relatively empty room.
Watch as our Knights battle it out and explain to the children the different weapons & armour and their uses in battle. The children will get a chance to see and touch the weapons & armour as part of the Demonstration Displays. The first words out of our mouths are “DO NOT DO THIS AT HOME” . We make sure the children understand that we are trained professionals and they are not to hit anyone or play with weapons. Safety first!
